Education
In 2021-2022, Kate pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the University of Colorado, School of Law, located in Boulder, Colorado. Before that, in 2020, she had the opportunity to enrich her legal education as an exchange student at Radboud University, School of Law in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Her foundational legal education was completed at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia, where she earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree, which is equivalent to a Juris Doctor (J.D.), spanning from 2017 to 2021.
In terms of language proficiency, she is a native Russian speaker and has an advanced level of English.

Biography
Kate serves as a transactional law paralegal, mainly providing legal assistance for projects handled by Adam L Weitzel. Her journey with the Business Law Group started in 2023. Drawing upon her expertise and experience in both litigation and transactional law, combined with her customer service abilities, Kate offers support to our attorneys and aids clients with routine transactional law duties and sporadic litigation-related tasks.
Kate recently accepted a position as the firm manager. As an emerging talent in office management, her hands-on experience in the office environment has quickly adapted to managing daily operations, coordinating team projects, and ensuring organizational efficiency. Kate’s proactive approach to problem-solving has marked her as a promising leader, committed to supporting her team and contributing to the firm?s success.
Kate moved to the United States in July 2021 to pursue her Master of Laws degree in International Law and U.S. Law at the University of Colorado School of Law. Even though Kate is quite a recent graduate, she has been exposed to interning for law firms (both in the United States and Russia) and governmental entities, clerking for judges, and practicing litigation, intellectual property, and administrative and collections law as an attorney in Russia. Kate graduated as a Top-10 student from one of the most respected Law Schools in Russia where she received full funding for four years of Law School upon winning the social sciences essay Academic Olympiad.
Life Outside the Firm
Kate moved to Colorado Springs as her long-time boyfriend (and now husband!) has resided in the city since his college years. They met during their exchange semester in the Netherlands while studying law and finance, and never left each other since then. Being born in Kurgan, Russia’s flat area (almost Siberia!), Kate enjoys living in sunny Colorado with beautiful Pikes Peak mountains, just like she dreamed about when she was a kid.
